How We Ended Up Here…
After more than 25 years in the electronics and high-tech machinery market, we’ve seen the equipment sales industry from every angle — as sellers, buyers, and auction partners. In that time, we’ve facilitated over $150 million in sales for everyone from multibillion-dollar corporations to hands-on owner-operators. Over a 7-year stretch, we partnered to conduct more than 30 successful auctions, gaining a deep understanding of what works, and what doesn’t.
Along the way, we noticed the same frustrations time and again — inaccurate listings, hidden reserves, inflated fees, and buyers competing against the auctioneer. We’ve been on the receiving end of those issues ourselves, and we knew there had to be a better way.
FAIRSCALE was built to be that better way. Our process is simple: Intake → Market → Auction. We give every asset the chance to sell directly through targeted marketing, and if it doesn’t, we move it seamlessly into a competitive auction to find the right buyer fast.
We’ve also challenged the fee structure that’s become standard in the industry. While others raise rates to maximize margins, we introduced the industry’s first tiered buyer’s premium — putting more money back into the hands of both buyers and sellers.
Today, our reputation rests on trust, results, and technical expertise. Behind the scenes, our client-focused team is supported by factory-trained engineers who handle evaluation and cataloging, and a skilled logistics crew that ensures every sale runs smoothly from start to finish.
